Buffy and Angel

Angel
Weird. Different. I don't know if i liked it. I don't like the whole Angel falling in love with Cordelia, Angel is supposed to be with Buffy...but I guess that pure happiness getting sent to hell turing bad part kinda stops that. I didn't like Cordelia getting it on with Connor because she thought the world was going to end then back tracking when it didn't. I don't like the monster that was Cordy's 'baby'. About time Wesley came back to the gang. I do like Lorne and the one liners. Not sure what to make of the Wolfram and Hart Business. I don't get it. And what about the Apocolypse? Did that happen or not??? I get confused...easily...

Buffy
Loved it when Angel came back for that 'blink and you'll miss him'. Loved the one liners but why is he so jealous and acts all childish when he was in love with Cordy? Double standards to me.

Kennedy annoyed me. Didn't like her.

Way too much talking and pep talks and feelings being aired in Buffy. not enough fighting. Buffy didn't even have a showdown with The First. And the hellmouth you could see the walls in it...what kind of hellmouth is that?

Don't like the Spike and Buffy business, I like Faith's Attitude.

And why were the scooby gang more upset in the fact that Anya died???? Where was the emotion????

And creating all the slayers...does this come with a consequence????

Hmm..until next season...of Angel only....

Okay, interesting synopsis. To be honest I loved the seventh season of Buffy. It was obvious (I think) from day one that this was the end, and they played it wonderfully. The final episode was a no apologies uplifting, good over evil ending. The only flaw I saw, to be honest, was a pissy hug between dawn and buffy when dawn jump off the bus at the end. I wonder the the two actors were having a tiff that day?
I can understand your comment about Anya's death, but I think there was a feeling of "we're all going to die, so if anyone is left, that's a bonus".
Turning all the chosen into slayers was a lovely touch, I though. It opens some doors for spin-offs, while happily closing the door to the one-slayer series (i.e. Buffy).
All in all, I though season seven was the best of the lot, just nudging out season four (with Adam and the initiative).

As for Angel, I lost interest in that a while ago. It seemed to lose something fairly early on.... but maybe that's just me...

been waiting for your thoughts sparker!!!

yeah i guess you raise a good point about anya and that they thought everyone was going to die.
didn't pay much attention to the piss weak hug between dawn and buffy..perhaps they did have a biff...

were they making dawn a witch or wather in the making??...new series with her perhaps...??

please, no spin off slayer series with kennedy...i found her rather annoying...wouldn't mind faith having a spin off series...i like her attitude....

there was talk of giles having his own series...???

i know spike is in angel next season....

The spin-off rumors were all killed (or pretty much) as the season wore on. To be honest, I think the rumors were spread by the studio just so they could then squash them!
Here are the rumors I heard and what happened to them:
Giles will have a spin off called "Watcher" where he and the Watcher's Council do stuff -- The watcher's council was blown up, so that ain't gunna happen!
Dawn will be the next slayer -- In one episode it appears Dawn is a chosen one, but this turns out not to be true. By the end we know she is not chosen.
Faith will be the next slayer -- There is no next slayer (not in the individual sense, anyway)

I could imagine some form of spin off with a team going from slayer to slayer, or something. I doubt Giles will be in it, the actor, Anthony Stewart Head, want's to stay in England. Faith is popular, so that could be good. The other possible spin-off would be a witches thing (which, I'm sorry to say, means Kennedy would probably hang around), but that sounds a little "Charmed" to me. I have no idea what Joss Whedon has up his sleeve. He has done what he wanted with Buffy, I gather, so he might go somewhere else now. He tried a science fiction thing with Firefly but it got pulled. He's trying to do a self-financed film version now, I gather. Should be worth waiting for.

Could someone please tell me how Spike ended up in Angel. He got made VERY (and I mean V E R Y) dead in Buffy.

Spike is not alive in the "you can touch him" sense, I've read what happens in Angel - apparently he is stuck between dimensions and the ptb are not finished with him, or something...i'm lost on Angel.

This week on Angel:

Spike is saved by the mysterious plot point!
Angel looks brooding
Wesley tries to look mean
Gunn tries not to laugh at this bullshit

Um ... Sparker? Have you been watching the new season of Angel?

I'm utterly annoyed at that x number of weeks break they stuck in the middle of the new season ....

Meanwhiles ... the new season's looking good! Much funness of Spike ... no more Cordy (she got annoying in the last season) ... no more Connor (YAY!!!!) ... and .... and ... yup ... it's much more fun than last season.

:)

oh, watching things like this between spike and angel should be fun to see:

"You and me, together again. Hope and Crosby. Stills and Nash. Chico and the -- " - Spike
"Yeah, are we done?" - Angel
"Never much for small talk, were you? Always too busy trying to perfect that brooding block-of-wood mystique. God, I love that." - Spike
"Not as much as I loved your nonstop yammering." - Angel
"The way you always had to be the one with the big swingy, swaggerin' around, barkin' orders..." - Spike
"Never listening." - Angel
"Always interrupting." - Spike
"And your hair, what color do they call that? Radioactive?" - Angel
"Never cared much for you, Liam. Even when you were evil." - Spike
"Cared for you less." - Angel
"Fine!" - Spike
"Good." - Angel
Gosh, they're so Rush Hour cute! Definitely seeing some Grumpy Old Men. Even a little Will and Jack of Will & Grace. But of course, underneath all the gel raking and hair pulling, they really do care for each other. Deep, deep, DEEP down inside.
"There was one thing about you." - Angel
[sits up] "Really?" - Spike
"Yeah, I never told anybody about this, but...I liked your poems." - Angel
"YOU like Barry Manilow." - Spike

and this

damn, can't find it. i see if i can find it later.

No, I haven't been watching Angle recently (not for a while actually). Maybe I'll drag myself back, but I have my doubts....

Hey, b, you should join the Angel writing team. That was a damn good piece of script you wrote (loved the poem bit).
